Calibration

Keep ADAS systems accurate after windshield replacement.

Windshield camera calibration

Safety depends on accuracy

ADAS systems are there for your safety and the safety of others — and for the vehicle you’ve invested in. An accurate camera reading is essential for alerts, braking systems and emergency signals.

We provide both static and dynamic calibrations.

Static calibration

Indoors, the car is parked in front of targets and the camera is calibrated based on target positioning. The vehicle remains stationary throughout.

Dynamic calibration

On the road — the technician drives the vehicle and monitors ADAS calibration until it completes and functions as intended.

FAQ

Common questions

Why does my windshield need a calibration?

When a windshield is replaced and the camera is disconnected, it must be recalibrated to stay accurate. The modern windshield is part of ADAS — autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, pre-collision alert and more.

Does insurance pay for my calibration?

Yes. It is an expectation that the windshield camera be calibrated.

What safety features use the windshield camera?

LDWS warns when you cross marked lines. Steering / lane change assist helps keep or change lanes. Traffic sign recognition reads speed limits and signs. Forward collision alert warns of possible accidents. Adaptive cruise control adjusts speed based on traffic using radar and camera.
